Stuck In Customs
Stuck In Customs is the main website for landscape photographer Trey Ratcliff. It is where you can download images, videos, and tutorials. It is also where you can buy limited edition prints and many of his training videos.
The overall website can seem a bit overwhelming at first. There is so much information just on the main page. His blogging section takes up the center while links to other sections and websites populate the right side. At the top, just above his logo, is a menu where you can quickly navigate to what you want to find, including his portfolio and "about Trey" section.

The About Trey Ratcliff page is a bit more extensive than most others that I have seen. He begins by explaining himself and his philosophy on life and in his photography. One thing to note is his paragraph on "Contact Me" states that he cannot be contacted via e-mail. Since he does not do client work (everything is done because he wants to) he does not need a way to be contacted for business proposals. He does do speaking engagements and has a section on how to contact him for those. Near the bottom of the page he discusses his charity work that he is involved in.

I have been a fan of Trey Ratcliff's work for some time now. He has really come a long way since I first saw his work. He keeps mainly to landscape photography but tries to branch out and do some documentary and travel photography. His works begin with great images and than he processes them to kick them to another level. During the Google+ Photographers Conference, he made a statement about his work being critiziced by photographers who say they get the image right "in-camera." His reply is, "I get it right twice in Photoshop©."
His philosophy on photographic copyright is also interesting. You can go to his portfolio and download any of his images at full resolution for no cost. In fact, one of his blog posts is titled "Go Ahead, Steal This Photo and Make Prints."
Go to his website and check out his awesome work and learn a few things along the way.
